The Australasian Weeds Conference (AWC) will be in Christchurch this year, 23-27 August and is combined with the annual NETS conference of the NZ Biosecurity Institute. While the emphasis is on weeds, there will be a concurrent session on other pest issues, including vertebrate and invertebrate pest management.
AWC2026 brings together leading researchers, land managers, practitioners, policymakers and students for five days of in-depth engagement, professional development, and collaboration. This event is a unique opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and meet new contacts from universities, government agencies, biosecurity organisations, environmental consultancies and community land-care groups. Register here.
With only a few weeks remaining to submit, now is the time to turn your ideas, research and on-ground experience into an abstract for the 24th Australasian Weeds Conference (AWC2026). The deadline for abstract submissions is at 23:59 (NZDT) on Friday 6 March 2026.
